Menicon Progent is a weekly protein remover, disinfectant and intensive cleaner compatible with all GP contact lenses. To ensure excellent comfort and protection throughout the life of your GP lenses, it is recommended to remove proteins with Menicon Progent weekly, in combination with MeniCare Plus Solution.
Indications: Menicon Progent is a solution particularly recommended for cleaning and removing proteins from the surface of lenses and involves simply soaking them in the mixture for just 30 minutes. Strong and rapid disinfection in five minutes against all organisms likely to contaminate lenses, including bacteria, mold, yeast, viruses, and Ancanthamoeba trophozoites and cysts.PROGENT is comprised of two sterile compounds: sodium hypochlorite (PROGENT A), and potassium bromide (PROGENT B). When mixed together, the A and B components produce an oxidationreduction reaction that disinfects and removes protein and debris from the lenses.
Instructions:
1. Place each lens in the corresponding support of the Progent case. “R”: right, “L”: left.
2. Carefully open a dose of the A liquid then a dose of the B liquid without touching the opening and pour them into the Progent case. NB: If you accidentally splash Progent into your eyes, immediately rinse with copious amounts of running water and consult your optician or ophthalmologist. Avoid contact with the skin and clothing (bleaching).
3. Close the case and mix gently.
4. Leave to soak for 30 minutes (but no longer than 30 minutes).
5. Open the case and empty out the contents.
6. You must thoroughly rinse your lenses on their support with MeniCare Plus solution (for at least 15 seconds). Then clean your lenses as usual with MeniCare Plus. Your lenses are now ready to be worn or stored in the case filled with MeniCare Plus solution.
